The next chapter of Career Chronicles

career chronicles

When I was younger, I used to dream of being a magazine editor. It was my ultimate job. It’s funny now I’m working at Fairfax, I’ll occasionally cross paths with an Editor and wonder “what if”.

Daydreams aside, I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to do with my blog for a while now. If you have been following my blog, you will have noticed that I have pulled back a bit as I’ve transitioned into a new job and living in a new city.

I’ve learned that sometimes you have to be gentle on yourself. I needed to give myself a break. I was trying to be everything to everyone, and forgotten how important it is to look after yourself.

So I’ve taken the time I needed, and I’m back!

The evolution of Career Chronicles

When I think about the content that I love to read, I always come back to advice and tips from smart, savvy career women and girlbosses. I absolutely love writing this content, and trying to write the most valuable content I can. I want to help others tackle career crises, get amazing promotions, and love what they do.

But I’ve worked out that an amazing career doesn’t live in isolation. Smart girlbosses want more.

So I’ve decided to make some changes, and start to cover some broader content on Career Chronicles. I guess I realised that I can still make my dream to become a magazine editor to life! While the glossy women’s magazines that I dreamt of editing are going through huge changes, I’ve realised that I actually have the platform to create my own magazine of sorts!

You will notice some small tweaks to my page (still trying to learn how to code!) as it goes through its next evolution. Keep an eye out for posts on wellbeing, health and style – all through the career girl lens. I want to keep writing posts to help you have the best career possible, combining them with my own journey to balance and wellbeing.

So, here goes! A new chapter. Here’s to taking risks, trying something new and loving the journey.
